If you’re building something in crypto and it hasn’t been called a scam yet, keep grinding, you’ll get there.

Imagine if a small amount of ETH were burned every time a stable coin was sent. This is coming…

The best solution imo is replicate the functionality and release it under a permissive license. There are a number of lending protocols that are under MIT iirc so it seems weird to use Compound as a starting point if it has a restrictive or closed license... 4/4

I genuinely hope people use our code and we do try to make the codebase accessible for that reason. I feel like defensibility in DeFi is going to come from liquidity not copyright. At least I hope so. That said if someone specifies a license it’s not OK to breach it. 3/4

I was kind of joking, but in all seriousness we spent a bit of time deciding on the MIT license to ensure that even if the project blew up or went nowhere that at least some of the code might be reused in the future even if it was used in a closed source project. 2/4

This is a super interesting debate we should have as a community. As part of our legal entity wind up our lawyers recently asked “...who will own any of current IP.” Iirc my response was something like “hopefully fucking no one if we do this right.” 1/4

As usual saves the day, used the legacy site to connect via the old bridge and it allowed me to make the contract call using the abi. This was an abandoned device so we didn’t have the seed phrase so upgrading was not an option but thanks for the reply .

I have a very old running FW 1.6.1 that can’t connect to the latest trezor bridge version. Where can I get a copy of the old bridge pkg files? I need version 1.8.1 or earlier I think?

The fact that legacy systems are trivially exploitable should be our opportunity not a deterrent to innovate. There are so many examples like this in legacy systems that require a trusted intermediary. We are like 0% into the solution space of trustless systems right now...

The number is definitely inflated due to front running, but the organic volume is well into the hundreds of millions. It’s like claiming gold futures volumes aren’t real because you got quoted a 2% spread to sell a 1kg bar at your local gold dealer.

You get different answers for different interpretations of ‘future’. ETH2.0 isn’t critical for success this year or next but beyond that it definitely is. The confusion arises from the fact that ETH 1.0 will remain unchallenged as the dominant SC platform until ETH 2.0 launches.
