I’m told a small group of officials were aware Thursday a.m. that Hope Hicks had tested positive. Despite that, President Trump traveled to New Jersey for a fundraiser and his press secretary held a briefing.

#MelaniaTapes story -Allows him and Pence to skip debates -Story will dominate news cycle indefinitely -He can miraculously "recover" w/out side effects so he can continue to downplay the pandemic with "proof." -
This theory doesnt make sense to me -- the election is in 32 days and he is down in both national and battleground state polls, the last thing he needs to get reelected is to be off the campaign trail for even a day, let alone 10-14 days.
