Well, this is the conversation I can totally have with you. Let's start with families of people whose relatives were murdered or assaulted by criminals with a long crime sheet, who had no business to be on SF streets in the first place.

I think being here 25 years, raising 3 kids here (who are all born and raised SFans) as a single dad and building two businesses from scratch while creating dozens of jobs in SF would qualify me as a local. I know this story really well.

Michael, first mention of people fearing that he will be a disaster of a DA appear on NextDoor a couple of months after he was elected and before the pandemic. Already back then the "recall" options were discussed. He ran on a program that doesn't seat well with most of us.

And the infamous video of his supporters chanting Fuck POA is a reason enough for most of SFans not to believe in this guy. In this city we see cops as a force of protection, a very diverse force btw.

If you are anti-cops and pro-criminals (who he sees as victims) you won't get sympathy from people but you can still prove that you can contribute to changing the system while keeping a balanced relationship with the public and police. He's not doing it. He is a divisive figure.

And because of his decisions not to charge criminals quiet a few people are dead. This is it. I couldn't care less about his ideology or the fact that he worked for a dictator or that his parents are terrorists. I wouldn't sympathize with him but I could still give him a chance.

Not it's too late. He had zero credibility.
