I finished this the other day. Apart from making a big, but not terminal error, quite happy about it. Rollover backpack, snap-on strap padding, and compression straps in an IKEA inspired colourway, from my own pattern.

I sewed one of my patterns from last October, but in waterproof nylon. Adjustable strap, front drop bellows pockets, zip flap main compartment, lined, rear zip pocket. Pretty happy with it.

Black bag, orange zip, green front pockets, black and white striped strap hangs from the top of a beige door.

Sometimes you don’t need user research to tell you what needs fixing; you need it to motivate others and get those things fixed.

Any design brains out there have useful experience of melding design thinking, service design, and systems thinking together to help solve wicked (or just annoying ;) problems? And maybe teaching others to use this approach?

Seem to have done a lot of sewing in the last minute months, mostly using variations on the same 2 patterns.
