Issues regarding safety for everyone not just tech/white people, empathy to the homeless, cops helping and working with kids in youth detention centers, medical workers are all important issues that could have been discussed in the original room.

and here's my opinion:- The structure of the first club house was loosely defined, the speakers weren't prepared for the way the events would unfold, I can't speak on their behalf but I will assume the best intention was to help address and fix SF not just cater to their needs.

some conclusions - Voting the right people in. - It isn't just tech people that have problems - It requires coordinated planning. Two important questions are, "Where does the buck stop?" "How can it be effective?

That's vast generalizations but there were many many issues and highlights brought up. It's hard to put all of it (this thread is paraphrased too).

In that discussion, the ever eloquent
@stevesi and@pmarca say that similar issues arise in Seattle too, it's not one citys problem. What can be done? The optimist, Sachin, says he believes and a major issue is the voting numbers. A 100 (1000?) votes can make a difference.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likesShow this thread -
Sachin, btw, runs
@growsf that wants to build SF and fix a lot of the problems. They address many issues.1 reply 0 retweets 1 likeShow this thread -
Unfortunately I reached thread limit, but here's more in the third room discussion. Marc questions the data being fed into the Citizen app that Sachin recommends. He says if the systems are antiquated (Chesa mentions using DOS and windows etc in data and no data guy)

Sachin agrees that's a valid point and that's one of the things he's building towards which is getting better Data into the system.

A lot of this is paraphrased and not verbatim. However I tried to show points that I understood from both sides.

Twitter threads are broken but I would love to see a panel with a lot more voices like @pmarca, @balajis, @chesaboudin, @EricaJoy, @agarwal, @NancyTungSF @kimmaicutler @DNas (and other relevant people you think should be there) with better moderation facilities @pdavison
