    2008: Mom takes away PS2 as a punishment. Tells 12-year-old me video games are pointless. 2018: 22-year-old me finally offers a counterargument:

    2K League players will earn $32,000-$35,000 over 6 months (plus whatever they win from the $1,000,000 prize pool). Players get health insurance and retirement plan too. Housing is also provided and relocation costs are covered (since they're moving to whichever city drafts them).

    I'm 40, so I go back a ways to guys like Bonds, McDowell and Kelly... but that was before the new bats. Imagine Tork with those older bats and the Packard dimensions in the outfield? Would probably push 30+ HR as frosh.

    I’ve only covered ASU baseball for a couple seasons, so obviously my point of view is limited, but I consider Torkelson to be the most high-potential player I’ve covered.
