I don't know him. I'm not attacking him personally. He has published a lot. He has influential scholarship and a good position. I am a tenured professor at an open enrollment institution with a diverse student body that gives underserved populations a chance at higher education.

We should appreciate the contributions of all scholars. I have the pleasure of knowing professors at R1 institutions, land grant universities, public, private, two-year. I know brilliant adjunct professors and independent scholars and rock star grad students and undergrads.

I spent two years authoring OER textbook that cut our student textbook costs to $0 and have worked on similar initiatives for literature courses, but I'm not interested in comparing CVs. I'm interested in creating a more inclusive academic field.
