    Oh come on. Don't let all that power learning (an M.Div.!) go to waste. Try to muster a little Popperian skepticism when overtly insane people make cheaply instrumentalist claims. Unless, of course, you're just not very bright.

    The issue is always about Democrats moving "too far left" when it should be about Republicans moving too far right. Going left = universal healthcare, living wage, climate action, etc. Going right = Nazis.

    Here's an article describing how Trump has gotten into bed with all the establishment GOP donors he once scorned. If Dems don't self-destruct, this could be a big liability for Trump because it completely negates the "outsider" image he cultivated in 2016

    No. Free speech is the elimination of consequences that make speech nonviable. Compare: 1. Govt fines you $100. No further consequences. 2. Society ensures you can't hold a job, rent an apartment, ride an Uber, use a social network, use a credit card. Which is more free?

    Free speech is the legal right to say things (short of advocating violence, etc.) without fear of government censure or censorship. It is not guaranteed access to a platform, nor academic credibility, nor freedom from social and other consequences.
