Yeah not so great of an idea. Government is a equity partner yet when ppl buy a brand new home, they put up fences, decks, develop basement and add value to the home. And now the Government wants equity in their improvements?

Lol this policy will apply to household income of below $120k and max mortgage has to be under $500k, good luck finding a house under $500k, and in areas where new homes are cheap was them rise instantly to $499k to fill the gap knowing government will cover tab

I'm working with buyers now who have a $900K pre-approved budget and want to move up from their one bedroom condo. Even 2 bedroom towns or semis that show well are going over that. Max mortgage of under $500K is a joke in the city. Young people lack ability to put that much down.
