Basic income doesn’t work. Even socialist Finland abondoned it last year. Reason being there was no incentive for many to work, and therefore tax revenues would take a huge hit.

40% of the homeless are there because of serious, untreated mental illness. A fraction of $40billion put into community mental health outreach programs would do far more good. Invest at the Community level, not at the top of hierarchical bureaucratic ivory towers.
