I've been spending quite a while now (essentially since he said this at the start of his statement) looking in other media, things where he can't edit, for any mention of SARS or corona virus and so far I'm coming up empty.

He just repeated the claim that he wrote about this a year ago. I wish someone would ask him, because... I can't find a single mention of corona virus and SARS. To be fair, yes, he warned about pandemics (as did *many* people), but claiming prescience is just *too* classic Dom.

This is a really petty detail, I admit, but it's the kind of casual dishonesty and reengineering of the past that immediately and irrevocably destroys a persons reputation for me.

If he had said he had warned about pandemics, fair enough. So did a lot of people, but yes, he genuinely did, too. However, adding refs to corona virus/SARS to make it appear he was prescient, & adding them only to the blog post related to bio-lab mishaps, that's what gets me.

I had heard the conspiracy theory so many times before then that I didn't connect it with this being picked up by major media networks the next day; but fact that his addition was made to post which caters to this was part of why it sat so badly with me.https://twitter.com/paulmasonnews/status/1265223508692533251 …

I believe he mentioned it twice today, casually dropping it in 'ive been warning about pandemics for years' as if this lends credibility? Pretty devious
-
I mean, to be fair, he did write about pandemic risks, but that in itself isn't all that exceptional. Pandemics have been at top of risk lists for more than a decade. Even mentioning Corona wouldn't have been exceptional, because Corona and influenza are two of the most likely.
