Sure, but I don't typically force my traffic through random individual's personal networks. Tor exit nodes provides that.

Yes, HTTPS - especially "pinning" - prevents this, as do Onion Sites. However that doesn't fit the postmodern dialectic.

Yes there are risks to putting your traffic through Tor's exit relay cloud, but they're mitigable in most cases.

True, but none of these can be hijacked but a random, anonymous, individual. Corporations have reputations to worry about.
