Good Morning All. As a result of redistricting and much reflection, we have decided to not run again for the Texas House in 2020. It was a difficult but ultimately the right decision. We're not going anywhere and we'll be back soon! See our statement. #txlege

Our hearts are heavy this week with the loss of Officer William Jeffrey. This is not the Houston I grew up in. I will always prioritize public safety & stand with our men & women in blue who risk their lives everyday when they wear the badge.

Violent crime is record high in Houston & nationwide. Today our community laid to rest the 5th active duty officer in 16 months killed by a criminal out on PR bond. Yet Democrats like support efforts to undermine & defund the police.

Glad to see add two more critical agenda items for this special session, addressing property taxes and bail reform. These bills will provide financial relief for struggling families and keep our communities safer across Texas. Let’s get it done. #HD135 #txlege

Great to see sign #SB1 into law today. This ensures every eligible voter in #HD135 and across Texas gets to vote, adds more voting hours, makes it harder for fraudulent votes to be cast, and makes ballot harvesting a 3rd degree felony. #txlege #electionintegrity

Today Gov. @GregAbbott_TX signed #SB1 into law right here in Tyler. I was honored to join the Governor, Lt. Gov. @DanPatrick, Rep. Murr, & many other great legislators who continue to stand for Election Integrity. Easy to Vote & Hard to Cheat, that is Senate Bill 1. #txlege

As a member of a Gold Star family myself, my heart goes out to the families for their sacrifice. These are American Heroes - gone, but never forgotten.

Houstonians have a lot of experience dealing with major weather events and flooding. We understand the tough path ahead for Louisiana and we stand with you. Thanks to for deploying Texas resources to assist in Hurricane #Ida recovery efforts. #txlege

Great to see #SB1 pass the House so we can restore voter confidence in our elections! Unfortunately chose to oppose this important election integrity bill. Voters in #HD135 need a leader that shows up to work and represents their best interests in Austin. #txlege

What we're witnessing in Kabul is an absolute tragedy. Brave U.S. Marines & soldiers sacrificed everything to protect innocent lives & defend our nation. Join Cecilia & me in praying for those who fought to the end, for their loved ones, & for all U.S. military members.
