Good Morning All. As a result of redistricting and much reflection, we have decided to not run again for the Texas House in 2020. It was a difficult but ultimately the right decision. We're not going anywhere and we'll be back soon! See our statement. #txlege

Our hearts are heavy this week with the loss of Officer William Jeffrey. This is not the Houston I grew up in. I will always prioritize public safety & stand with our men & women in blue who risk their lives everyday when they wear the badge.

Violent crime is record high in Houston & nationwide.
Today our community laid to rest the 5th active duty officer in 16 months killed by a criminal out on PR bond.
Yet Democrats like support efforts to undermine & defund the police.

Great to see sign #SB1 into law today. This ensures every eligible voter in #HD135 and across Texas gets to vote, adds more voting hours, makes it harder for fraudulent votes to be cast, and makes ballot harvesting a 3rd degree felony. #txlege #electionintegrity

Today Gov. @GregAbbott_TX signed #SB1 into law right here in Tyler.
I was honored to join the Governor, Lt. Gov. @DanPatrick, Rep. Murr, & many other great legislators who continue to stand for Election Integrity.
Easy to Vote & Hard to Cheat, that is Senate Bill 1.

The #txlege special session just wrapped up and Texas House Republicans accomplished several critical policy victories. Our members worked hard on behalf of the people of Texas to achieve these results.

It costs taxpayers $43K a day to run a #txlege special session. & House Dems have wasted over 1.5 million in taxpayer dollars on special sessions where they didn't bother to show up to work, but still accepted a $221/day per diem.
