I would respectfully counter that the use of chemical weapons - which violates a multitude of international treaties as well as basic human decency and long-standing US foreign policy objectives - would pass muster under cause number three.

But I do appreciate you raising this issue because it’s one that mainstream media rarely considers. But do believe it is important to clarify that Trump is not stepping out of precedent from his predecessors. The left will try to spin it that way.

@AndrewHClark, reread the WPR. Rep. Amash's position is clearly established by the text of the law. International agreements do not supplant the Constitution or implementing language thereof, lik3 the WPR.
