The priceless comment thread on @justinamash ‘s tweet demonstrates the old saying that “It’s easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled.”https://twitter.com/justinamash/status/977725648700690432 …

IMO, these artificial crises are caused by Senate rules and failure of 218 to stick together to get the best available Constitutionally required spending bill (funding the functioning of govt is the one annual requirement of Congress) 1 of ?

I wish we had 218 more similar to the two of you, but we don’t. We have the 238 we have and must do the best with them. Right now, we aren’t doing to well. Too many of the 238 won’t really participate leaving Nancy to fill the gap. That is always bad. 2 of?

If you aren’t part of the solution, you are part of the problem. 218, 60 and 1. Be part of the 218 or you will end up being part of the minority. Seek a rule change that doesn’t allow 1 Senator to force an omni. 3 of ?

It’s probably already too late; we are likely on a collision course with some sort of default, but I’d appreciate it if you’d try harder. Voting no is easy. You’ll find that out if/when you go back into the minority. Voting yes is harder. Try hard things for a while. 4

Thanks guys. But having a good budget in 2018 is meaningless if criminals, with obvious crimes in the public record, see Hillary and Comey for quick examples, taunt us in public. Americans are waiting for justice...
