AMAZING — Congress will probably vote on a monthlong spending bill with MASSIVE spending increases attached. You start to wonder if 2010-2015 ever happened….

True. I like him. The problem is he rails against the deficit and debt and then votes contrary to that. Politicians are politicians I guess

The government collects plenty in taxes. It isn't Amash's fault that the rest of Congress can't control spending. Why should Amash feed their addiction by keeping taxes high on the American people?

That's fine. But the deficit and the debt are becuz of spending and cuts. Both drive the debt and deficit.. to only say spending is to not know the other part that drives it upward.

Whatever government does to taxes since the 1950 revenues have averaged between 17 and 18 percent of GDP. But Congress insists that we spend more than that

You probably were told wrong. Both parties want unlimited spending for their own agendas. Select few even seriously talk about cutting spending.

Why does a good man like Mr Amash continue to associate with the hypocrtical GOP. Always run up deficits when in power. Main benefactors are rich defense contractors selling the US govt milliom dollar missles that destroy a $10K structure

Stay strong. Amash/Paul/Massie 2020 Idc who is president or who is VP, I just want 2/3 of you on the next ticket. #Trump is a joke. You three are pretty much the only ones I trust in congress bc you’re all anti-war AND pro-market.

I often don't agree with you, but on this one we are in synch. Beyond the debt ceiling issue, I am really tired of one stop-gap vote after another. This is no way to run a government.
