The Democrats cut the deficit. Your party increases it. Stop living in fantasyland, Justin

The deficit is the amount you pay versus receive in taxes. Democrats have been clear they'd raise taxes on the wealthy. Spending =/= deficit.

Remember when you voted for a trillion and a half dollar increase in the debt
-
Seriously. Amash kills any credibility he has/had when tweeting about the national debt after voting for the tax bill. If he has a social media team, they need to learn when to shut up. If this is Amash himself, he needs to learn when to shut up.

More than you love defending billionaires?
-
More than you even love regurgitating communist rhetoric
-
Ah yes, communism, where you point out basic accounting
-
....... When you think not taxing enough is why we're 20 trillion in debt rather than overspending

-
"Basic accounting" doesn't seem to mean what you think it means

You and the rest of the GOP voted to increase the national debt by $1,500,000,000.

And offer massive tax cuts when we're at war and close to full employment. But you know, blame it all on the spending.

Again. Take away and cut up the
@POTUS credit card. I’m tired of paying for his vacations to his properties. That should save a couple million right there! Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

You are one of the very few elected officials who seems to take his oath of office seriously. Do you really think you can change the downward spiral of the Republican Party? You sure would be a welcome addition to the
#Libertarian party. Thanks for all you do.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

And that’s why you voted against wealth redistribution to the top cutting the thing we do to pay down the government we grew so much right? This is just Koch bro rhetoric. Convincing people to cut the things the taxes due for them so the wealthy can spend our taxes dollars
-
I don't support that GOP tax bill either, but it makes no sense to say that tax cuts make it "so the wealthy can spend our tax dollars." A tax cut doesn't give anyone anything; it lets people keep more of the money that was theirs in the first place.
-
And I’m not totally against the tax cuts. But I am against the idea that you can consider yourself a fiscally conservative person while voting for massive debt
-
I agree completely with you on that. I don't have a tax cut fetish. And I agree that cutting taxes without cutting spending when there's already a deficit & massive debt sucks. But it still isn't accurate to call a tax cut redistribution of wealth or the rich spending our dollars
-
We allow corporations to purchase government. And the government tells us that corporations get to pay 3/4 less then we do in taxes. I don’t see how that’s anything but wealth redistribution.
-
It's not because it's not taking money that some people have in the first place and giving it over to other people. Taxing middle-class people more heavily than wealthier people isn't fair, but it still doesn't *actually* take from one group and give to another.
-
Making one class more responsible to pay back debt then another is a way to redistribute wealth. Same with stripping people of pensions and retirement funds. Technically you can say it’s not wealth redistribution. But it’s exactly why they did it.
