#S139 allows the government to warrantlessly collect Americans’ communications and warrantlessly search all #FISA702 data for information on Americans,…

…and
#S139 permits the use of warrantlessly collected data to prosecute Americans for crimes having nothing to do with foreign intelligence or national security.Show this thread -
I will oppose
#S139 and have introduced a substitute amendment consisting of the#USARIGHTSAct. Unlike#S139, it limits the mass collection and broad use of Americans’ data, and requires a warrant to search for it—as the#4thAmendment requires.Show this thread - End of conversation

The 4th Amendment does not require a warrant to look at 702 data, and requiring one would significantly impede the FBI's investigationshttps://www.justsecurity.org/47428/dont-fall-hype-702-fbi-works/ …
-
Why does the FBI need unrestrained, private if not secret access to the data of innocent Americans? What is done with that data, and how are the results used and distributed? Got something to hide? Not if you've done nothing wrong, isn't that the mantra? Trust the gov't?

Congressman Amash, please continue to uphold the constitution. You and Congressman Massie are among the few Congressmen working for the people. Thanks.

Considering all of you are ignoring the greatest upcoming danger, most of America is pretty numb to whatever else you're concerned about. Is our next election going to be influenced by a foreign power? Does the GOP remotely care?
-
Considering everybody is seeking political cures for moral maladies, does it really matter?

CHIP expired 100 days ago. I sense no urgency from you or your party to fix this.https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/1/8/16865248/100-days-since-chip-funding-expired …

Because healthcare is a commodity. Not a "right". Think before you tweet

Nothing in the constitution is outdated. Everything written must stand as it stood back in 1787 to its present day.
-
Except slavery right?
-
My apologies. Should have added: To keep it written since 1787 with adjustments (amendments) on its way to the present day. Thank you.
-
So we can’t add any more amendments then?

Please name names...especially members of the
#Texas delegation so we can work to primary them!@PeteOlson /@replouiegohmert /@RepAlGreen /@GeneGreen29 ... please rally the Tx delegation...Tx should be 100% opposed regardless of party. -
Yes. Love how the “libertarian” freedom caucus wants to end government support, but will advocate for killing Constitutional liberties. All of them must go. Add to that list
@repbillflores from Bryan, College Station.@ProgressTX#TurnTexasBlue -
I believe in this case, the
@freedomcaucus is trying to stand up to our constitutional right to privacy against our corrupt government...which all#Texans
should support. -
Sorry. Our government is not corrupt... unless you count the oval office. It is a corrupt person who wants to keep children in poverty, drive sick people to bankruptcy and deny me Social security in another decade when I retire. The corruption here is among Gohmert and his ilk.
-
Nothing you mentioned is Constitutionally the Federal Governments Accountability...and it is VERY corrupt...I will agree that they made a mess of social security. Never should have instituted it, but they cannot just steal the money you and your employer paid in
