@justinamash do you benefit from gerrymandering?

Kent County is narrowly split R vs D, (47/44 in 2016, 53/45 in 2012, 48/49 in 2008) there is nothing "less republican" about MI 3rd district
-
Instead of including all of Kent, the district currently extends south to include Calhoun County. Kent is more Republican than Calhoun.
-
1) Your district was +5 R in 2016 presidential vs Kent 2) your district includes Barry and Ionia ctys which are very red, 3) Kent > Calhoun
-
Why don't you just admit you are the product of a gerrymandered district, created in order to dilute democratic votes in West Michigan.
-
It was gerrymandered—to make it less compact and less Republican than before. Portions of Kent County were replaced with Calhoun County.
-
You keep changing your argument 1st it was statistical. Then it was natural. Now it is geographical. Every argument fails.
-
You owe your district to gerrymandering. You owe your district to the GOP machine. And your vote on the ACA last spring proves it.
