It's just your opinion on how that statute is being interpreted.. a politician's legal opinion is never biased of course
-
The language isn't complicated. The United States wasn't attacked, so the situation meets none of the criteria for the president to strike.
-
Soooo trump broke the law & you're going to push to prosecute him? Or just venting on twitter like the rest of us?
-
The only remedy to the president ignoring statute like this is impeachment. Which I'm sure Rep Amash is filing for tomorrow. Right?

I think the point is, what are you going to do about it? A rule is only as strong as its enforcement.
-
the problem is that the US government hasn't enforced it the last 8 years.
-
If violating the law concerning war powers isn't an impeachable offense, what is?
-
I don't think it is an impeachable offense tho.. given that obama was not impeached over it nor George w bush .. trump will? Tbd
-
That's congress' fault. We are in a constitutional crisis, who will restore it?
-
agree, we r screwed
-
We're not screwed. We've had constitutional crisis before. People just have to acknowledge it and vote better. Reject partisanship.
-
agree with reject 2 party system. It's easier said than done.

And he has 90 days to report to Congress, it's part of the war powers act.
-
The president just reports to congress action he's already taken? I don't think that's accurate reading..
