I'm sure you are:), but your read of the Constitution is ignorant of the fact how the economic engine of slavery shaped it

the ruling of Graham v Connors give the police final judgement arbitrarily so and so it must be limited by laws, no other way

previous answer a cliche, therefore it seems to me you are not fully representing your Black constituents on policing matters
-
It seems to me you have not been following my work in Congress.
-
on some issues, but in the main no, long convince that your party is antithetical to Blck/Brw interests nationally and locally

Laws do have enacted and changed. Clearly SCOTUS ruling on Graham v Connor flew under your libertarian radar, SMH

Pleased that you care about Civil Liberties, so why not talk to your Black constituents re: Graham v Connor and how it violates
-
I'm happy to have conversations with them about anything.
-
so why hasn't your staff ever organize one as it has done for your other constituencies?
-
We have tried on several occasions. Unfortunately, the community members helping us have always backed out at the last minute.
-
hmmm, really? I'm skeptical of that answer. Black folk in GR are your constituents too, so no lame excuses
-
If you think I'm the problem, then you are not following my work closely. I'm the one most upset that these meetings fall through.
-
Here's an example of what I do in Congress:https://twitter.com/justinamash/status/601069533802188800 …
-
Of course we disagree on how you serve your Blk constituents, I understand that overwhelmingly they opposed you party wise ....

if your focus is on civil liberties why haven't you spoken out on
#BLM or spoken to your Blk constituents on policing killings? -
@GRPress appreciate it, but too cheap! You have not met with your local Blk constituents! -
Each term, I hold dozens of town halls open to the public. If you'd like to help organize a meeting, I'd be happy to work with you.
-
you have held town halls, no arguing, but you held them in select environments, so we disagree as to how your meetings are plan
-
No, I hold town halls in all parts of the district, and they are open to the public and unscreened.

IMO you represent select freedoms, but not civil liberties of all your constituents and this where we depart politically
-
nor have your Blk constituents seen you address Voter ID Laws, which GOP members have used to shamelessly suppress votes
-
this is why I argue your civil liberties is select and not fully representative. It pleases your dominate constituents (cont.)
-
but not your minority constituents. This is why I believe your focus on civil liberties is completely valid (cont.)
-
I know from the tweet likes you have a following, but I respectfully disagree and think your messaging obscures (cont.)
-
the inequities of the other aspect of your legislative voting record. Just who wins there? Civil liberties is great messaging..
-
however it is not fully accurate. As I said earlier cronyism is in the eye of the beholder
-
thank you for the discussion, I will monitor your representation of your Black constituents & give my regards to
@repjohnlewis
