@justinamash@emptywheel@droosien the 'case' exists outside of&beyond 'this admin'. Lawmkrs shld do what's in US interest, i.e accept them. -
@justinamash@emptywheel@droosien it appears (to me) that lawmakers are making decision based on their self-interest, & not US interest. -
@stephanie_a517
@emptywheel@droosien No, I made my decision in accordance with my oath to support and defend the Constitution. -
@justinamash While I disagree w/vote, is it a matter of Admin assertions that their control of this unlimited? @stephanie_a517@droosien -
@emptywheel I walked into the briefing thinking vetting was rigorous. Even Democrats who voted no were grumbling over what they learned. -
@justinamash@emptywheel So you say current vetting process isn't rigorous & Congress JUST discovered this? So, where are refu-terrorists? -
@stephanie_a517
@emptywheel Process is long; vetting is weak. Low probability of terrorist's pursuing; high probability of getting through. -
@justinamash@emptywheel Those ppl are in situation that US had hand in making. We have to remediate, as (rational) matter of natl secrty. - 2 more replies
