I can't support proposed CR. It's a #StealthDebtLimitHike; it exempts interest from debt limit, effectively raising debt limit permanently.

@thejfc increasing the limit with lower rates,Still raises debt,rate doesnt matter when overspending.thats what@repjustinamash is saying -
@bmadden12@repjustinamash if that's the issue, then just cut spending. right now, USFG is legally obligated to spend a certain amount. -

@JimmyGillRx@bmadden12@repjustinamash maybe, or maybe not. but in either case,@repjustinamash has the wrong analogy. -

@JimmyGillRx i also think its necessary to raise the credit limit b/c its unwise to make immediate drastic unplanned spending cuts -

@JimmyGillRx if you don't raise the debt ceiling, the executive decides what bills to pay. i suppose there is some planning, not by congress

@repjustinamash but our creditors are EAGER to increase our credit limit at historically low rates. you're trying to turn them down. -
@thejfc@repjustinamash Rates are at historically low levels because the Fed has been buying over a trillion $ in Tsy securities per year -
@Kenaschmidt@thejfc@repjustinamash If you cant pay it really doesn't matters how low it is. -
@120lab
@thejfc@repjustinamash easily paid with current revenues, problem is we prioritize spending elsewhere, then none left for debt -
@Kenaschmidt @120lab@repjustinamash so cut that spending instead of messing with debt limit then. -
@thejfc @120lab@repjustinamash That's the point. But raising debt limit removes impedance for reducing spending
