“High Crimes and Misdemeanors” is invoked because Trump’s conduct violated the public’s trust. It’s a matter of adherence to the Constitution.

The high crime is using his public office to solicit the aid of a foreign government for personal gain.
The victim is society itself.

Well, if we are talking about adherence to the Constitution, there is no part of the Constitution that permits the Congress to appropriate monies from US taxpayers to give to foreign nations So most of Congress should really resign or be expelled for giving our money away anyway
