No. It isn't. It's a win for those who want longer lines at the voting both in the primarily urban areas more likely to vote Democrat. It's a win for those who want to suppress the vote in those areas by making voting more time consuming. You're fooling no one.https://twitter.com/justinamash/status/1037535462783692800 …

You are celebrating making it harder for people to vote. People are busy, but you want to make voting take longer because it benefits Republicans when fewer people vote.
-
Even the article you quote and the district court that struck it down say this will make voting take longer: People will have "to wait the extra 20 minutes or so (according to the district court’s estimate) in line"

If you really want third-party candidates, I hope you support Ranked Choice. Anything else does nothing to support third-party candidates.

First of all your presumption includes the racial undertone that only urban, black voters use the straight-ticket option. Secondly, it ignores how early voting has mitigated long waits on election day. People have plenty of time to go down the ballot and choose their candidates.

You're living in a fantasy world if your belive that. It also doesn't assume that only urban minority voters use straight ticket. It assumes that eliminating straight ticket voting will disproportionately affect voters there because of fewer polling places.

Agree that "we need more polling places and a longer voting period". Nevertheless, the choice to vote straight-ticket or not should be left up to the voters, not the elites.

Federally unconstitutional? No I don't think so. Because the methodology of voting is left to the states as we live in a representative democracy. Hence the wide discrepancies in method from State to state.
