You don't get to blame this on Dem leaders. If they've managed to get a few pieces of sanity funded in this dumpster fire of a government, god bless them. Agree with the rest though.

Seriously - wait a second - did all you Democrats actually vote or not vote for this? I seem to remember the vote count on the Dem side being pretty high for expanding the Defense budget. And aren’t you the people that want to spend that much on health care?

Spending has accelerated because there is a Republican president. It always happens that way. Republicans are the bigger spenders, and their preferred spending is much more wasteful. If you truly care, you should support responsible leaders like Clinton and Obama.
-
Democrats are Big Spenders too. Clinton was kept in check by the Speaker of the House at the time Newt Gingrich

It’s the ONE issue both parties can agree on! Spend money we don’t have and call it “compromise”.

Yes, running big deficits when the economy is relatively strong is generally considered unwise. But until I hear one of you guys admit you were wrong to criticize deficits when it was weak, I don't care what you have to say about it.
-
Would be nice if one didn’t ran deficits at all, print money with no actual value, stick hands into markets , regulate small businesses into extinction, collide with hospital cartels, big pharma, and telecommunications companies to manipulate markets. But here we are.
-
Republican presidents have been running huge deficits since Ronald Reaganpic.twitter.com/rC5KuqvkYw
-
Democrats are running them just as badly
-
Not really. Four years of balanced budgets during the Clinton administration... note the drop in the graph..
-
The only reason there were 4 years of balanced budgets during the Clinton years is because Newt Gringrich enforced pay as you go as the Speaker of the House
-
There were no balanced budgets under Clinton, the national debt increased every year under him The deficits decreased because of Gringrich and because of the technology boom which drove a booming economy which in turn increased tax revenues.
-
According to the Treasury numbers, there were 4 years of budget surpluses. Further, debt as a percentage of GDP goes down during the last 4 years of Clinton. Congress raised taxes in 1993 paving way 4 balanced budgets. Also No Dumb Wars

It all starts with the corruption of your party. You have the power to speak up. This is a start. At least you are pointing out that
@SpeakerRyan has been a disaster. Better late than never. -
Actually Amash has been very vocal about Ryan

The tax cuts you voted for didn't help. Gave the rich a nice raise and put it on everyone else's credit card. Ryan will indeed be treated poorly by history but so will everyone in the
#corruptGOP and their enablers. -
Your confusing that with the SPENDING bill that Justin Amash voted AGAINST! Tax Cuts were a good thing because that’s less of your money going to the government. The spending is what got worse.
