Many of the allegations against @POTUS are serious and should be taken seriously, especially by members of Congress.

Upon impeachment by the House, the Senate conducts a trial. Only here does the vote represent a finding of guilt. While there is reasonable disagreement about the proper burden of proof, I believe that a very high standard must be met to overturn the results of an election.

I hope that we don’t get to this point, but I think it’s important, given recent news, that members of Congress share their thoughts on this matter with the people they represent.

Except it's completely partisan. In this hyper partisan era, Trump would never be impeached by the GOP. Not under any circumstances.

Impeachable offenses would not include obstruction or using your own money to induce a non-disclosure agreement. Impeachment must be for “treason, bribery, other high crimes and misdemeanors” those are crimes that threaten the republic. You pretend to be a libertarian. No way

Nope. Impeachment is political as fuck. See: Clinton's impeachment. A grand jury indictment is impartial.

You can’t indict a sitting president, period. And you think a grand jury indictment isn’t political? They only see the information a prosecutor wants them to see. That’s it. No rebuttal, no exculpatory evidence. If you like that kind of system you should move to Russia.
