The post-2016 Republican Party has abandoned even the pretense of fiscal conservatism. My colleagues used to pay lip service to limited government and less spending; now, they don’t even bother. Happy to be Congress’s top saver during my time in office: https://spendingtracker.org/rankings?sort=&name=&chamber=house&year=10&congress=115&status=enacted&state=&zip=&years_in_office%5B%5D=7-12&page=1 …https://twitter.com/thehill/status/1019272041869074434 …

In all honesty congressman -- the Republican party regularly abandons any pretense of fiscal conservatism when they hold the executive and legislative branches -- not really a new phenomenon

It is actually the #2Santa strategy of the GOP. Not by accident. Not unintentional. By design. Run up deficits while GOP in office with tax cuts. Then, w/ deficit rising and out of office, scream "deficits" and force Dems to shoot their Santa of social supports. Continued...

See @Thom_Hartmann and his article at @commondreams. I am bad at tech or I'd link the article right here. Again, this a well-thought out strategy. No accident. #2Santa strategy developed and implemented by GOP Do Dems have any planned strategy to counteract? Not heard of any

Here is the link. The #2Santa strategy. When the Dems regain gov't, the GOP will scream "deficits matter" which we are NOT hearing now. Why? It is part of their strategy. I told you today (via learning from @Thom_Hartmann). Wait for it.https://www.commondreams.org/views/2009/01/26/two-santa-clauses-or-how-republican-party-has-conned-america-thirty-years?amp …

You need to start calling all the online and print media. For some reason they have you voting "yes" for that 1.5 trillion dollar tax cut that has caused the trillion in debt

That logic is a bit wacked. If your paycheck is cut buy a third and your bills remain the same, you blame the bills?

For get the parade (literally, they need to abandon the idea completely), congress just approved a military spending bill that sends $617 billion to overseas bases for more foreign intervention. Spending money to put military in harms way, but not to fix them at home.
