Puzzled how you blame @POTUS for signing the bills that congress sends him - aren't you in congress? I sent you to congress to make a difference - not seeing results.

Unlike
@POTUS, I oppose massively wasteful legislation like the omnibus. I don’t tell people at home I’m against overspending and then support such bills. The president is to blame. Puzzled that you don’t blame him for signing. He has veto power, but he’s not making a difference. -
I have little faith that congress could have crafted a better bill had
@potus vetoed it. Congress is incompetent right now and every member is contributing to its incompetence. Time for the voters to make a change.#newblood#TermLimits -
I understand your frustration but
@justinamash is the last guy to take it out on

Why did you vote present on the Gosar Amendment? I thought you believed in Congressional oversight?
-
I do, and I believe even more strongly in the Constitution. As drafted, it’s an unconstitutional bill of attainder. At the very least, it should have been drafted to reduce the salary of the position, not the specific person.
-
The position wasn’t the problem, the person was. And at the very least you could have voted against it if you believed it unconstitutional, but clearly you didn’t because you voted present.

This is what you’re concerned about when there are children locked up?
-
Congressman Amash is literally one of the loudest voices in Congress for criminal justice reform and respecting self-government.
-
Cool I just checked his timeline for it. All I see is hypocritical tweets about debt when he willingly voted for a completely unfunded tax cut that increased the deficit over a trillion dollars. But you go on with your bad self
-
Respectfully, I recommend researching his policies and votes rather than scrolling his twitter feed for something you would specifically like to see. And regarding the tax bill, I agree that it was significantly lacking.
-
No need to be respectful, cause I’m done with it. That’s bullshit, I know his voting record, I did a quick sweep of his timeline to see what policies are important to him. In the last week, I don’t see anything that’s not related to gov’t spending.
-
We are in a constitutional crisis - CURRENTLY - as he damn well knows and he’s tweeting hypocritically about wasteful fiscal spending policies, something he knowingly voted for. He’s a fraud, whether you like it or not. Judge him by his actions.
-
And this constitutional crisis, would you say is because of Trump? Or would you be intellectually honest and admit that while Trump is bad, the crises began long ago with those like Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and FDR?

Dude, I’ve supported you. And all you’ve done for years on end is complain about spending. And then finally we cut back *some* spending, and YOU’RE STILL COMPLAINING
-
Dude, would you be pumped up if your boss told you that you were going to get a $50 annual raise? After passing a massive spending bill, the GOP is celebrating the fact that they are going to use $1.298T of the $1.3T that was appropriated. Few in congress care about the deficit
-
You’re not pragmatic and not seeing the writing on the wall. In DC, you don’t get everything you want in one bill. You move the ball in the right direction bit by bit. That’s how we make progress. Jeez.
-
if you believe in limited government, free markets and free trade, then you don't belong in the current GOP
-
I do believe in all of that. But in order to make that a reality, the answer is not to retreat but to work with Trump to where you can advance those areas
-
Trump doesn't want to advance in those areas, though. He never ran on spending cuts. https://www.weeklystandard.com/chris-deaton/trump-this-is-the-time-for-government-to-borrow … https://www.theatlantic.com/amp/article/496064/ …
