    admits US support to Saudis enables the war. So why not end it? "We have a military-to-military relationship with Saudi Arabia that is important to the region and to our interests" Does agree that starving millions of Yemenis is in our "interests"?

    But didn't say the US ended support for the Saudi war on Yemen? No. The admin clarified their policy in April: “The United States continues to provide maintenance support to Saudi Arabia’s Air Force" -

    The US could stop the Saudi planes from bombing Yemen and enforcing the blockade right now. The Saudi air force requires ongoing support from the US to continue the airstrikes and blockade.

    said what everyone knows: the US has more than enough leverage to end the blockade. refusal to use it is a clear & intentional message to the Saudis to ignore the public statements — the US actually wants the blockade maintained.

    The US "has a lot of leverage... the Saudis cannot conduct a lot of basic military actions without some U.S. support." is right. The Biden administration can — and must — push Saudi Arabia to end its deadly blockade on Yemen.

    Yemen envoy Lenderking says the US opposes the Saudi fuel blockade that causes surging food prices & mass starvation. Saudi response: "In August, no fuel vessels were permitted to discharge" - His refusal to pressure them is a👍 for the blockade.
