At the beginning of June we asked you all to share some of your favorite Queer podcasts with us. Now, we'd like to present the list we created from your suggestions! Thank you for all of your wonderful suggestions, and please drop some more recommendations in the comments.
The cover of the list, which has a black background with a rainbow pattern moving down the page. The title reads, "A list of Queer podcasts crowdsourced from YOU."

I did have to laugh when said at the beginning isn’t Halloween a Christian holiday? Where I grew up, it was Satan’s holiday and you were allowed at most a Harvest Festival. My mom did dress up as a nun for All Saint’s Day as a kid in Catholic school.

I loved this conversation so much! For once I felt myself keeping pace with the academic chat instead of running to catch up. All those theology and Bible classes in college finally paid off!

In this episode we are joined by Matt Potts, co-host of Harry Potter and the Sacred Text! He joins us for an episode all about "the soul" in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
A graphic with the Witch, Please logo on the left side and the Harry Potter and the Sacred Text logo on the right. The text on the page reads, "The Soul with Matt Potts from Harry Potter and the Sacred Text."
A photo of Matt Potts smiling. He is wearing a pale blue button up shirt with a navy blue sweater over top. There is neon yellow text above his photo that says, "Matt Potts."
Matt Potts' Bio: "Matt grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Notre Dame with a BA in English. After a brief stint in the navy in Japan, he began graduate school and took both his M.Div. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard. He serves on the Harvard faculty now and teaches courses on religion and literature. He's also an Episcopal priest and has ministered to several congregations in Massachusetts. Matt is the co-host of Harry Potter and the Sacred Text. He likes running, cooking, walking his dog, the Detroit Tigers, dessert, and doing nearly anything with his wife and kids."

Caleb and Adam are one of my favorite couples ever. Might have to do a series re-listen again this month to celebrate love and Pride month. Check out the thread for other great podcasts!

Our first ever show, @brightpodcast, is a story that celebrates uniqueness of all kind! It follows a number of therapy patients who all have their own struggles (and superpowers) and features canonically gay, bi, ace, trans, and queer characters! plinkhq.com/i/1053268058

I’ve been catching up on my queue whilst choring today, and once again got me crying at her fun facts, which is probably my favorite part of every book wrap-up. Whimsy plus all the feels is my listener sweet spot.

I spent a good chunk of Monday reading all the transcripts for #MaxineMiles so I could make sure I remembered all the important details and pick up anything I missed on the initial listen. Now I’ve listened to the ending I picked and am ready to hear the others.

One of my all-time fav eps of is the sixth movie for its laughter & silliness, so I really appreciate this additional discussion on the serious themes of rape culture in book 6. The more we talk about it, the more we recognize it, & hopefully the more we change it.

This is also just one of the most fascinating episodes. Hauntology is giving me new language for the way I experience so many things. Huge thanks to Lydia for teaching us so much!

This may the the best opening conversation this podcast has ever had even though definitely doesn’t define reluctant the same way I do.

Hey Witches! We're getting positively ghostly in our new episode on Hauntology. Tune in for a conversation with our guest, Lydia, as we consider Hauntology as an analytical tool for better understanding the Harry Potter series- specifically the Half-Blood Prince.

We got you a little seasonal gift: our second ever holiday episode! It’s not quite as unhinged as our first one, but it is PRETTY SILLY, and features @nealpolitan joining us to talk about #Frozen2! play.acast.com/s/oh-witch-ple

As someone who has been reading HP fanfiction since high school, it was fascinating hearing an academic discussion of it! I feel very validated in my expression of fandom.

Well, witches, we finally did it. We made an episode about fan fiction! And because we know nothing about it, we got an expert guest: @AmandaAllenPhD! play.acast.com/s/oh-witch-ple
I have no idea how Slack works but I will be thinking of it as a Staff Room bulletin board in my head. I claim getting to be the Hogwarts Drama Professor.

I was very excited to have a new episode of to listen to while traveling today, but now that I know it's the finale I might have to wait until I can savor it and cry and really be in the moment. I just got a friend to start listening, and she is in for a treat!

I had a moment of thinking I’m not smart enough for this podcast, then I immediately called that out for the lie it is and told myself that I can enjoy learning without worrying about understanding or remembering everything.

Every episode of Witch, Please is like a free lecture from two of the smartest, funniest profs - the kind where you don’t really think you’re learning until find yourself engaging intelligently with others. twitter.com/ohwitchplease/…
I just absolutely wept my way through the 10th anniversary special. It’s such a beautiful, real, honest show. It so consistently shows the value of community and empathy and the dignity of every person.
Oh, Adam and Caleb. My sweet, insecure, precious boys. Writing and acting so powerful I can feel every single thing they do, and the roller coaster is absolutely worth the ride. Their love is so dear.

After seeing someone post an explanation of tenure, I realized that as a kid I did, in fact, believe you had to work there for ten years before you could apply even though I knew it wasn't something you got automatically, and I knew how it was spelled.
