    Best thing Airbnb taught it’s customers that makes them money is that their room doesn’t need to be cleaned everyday.

    . advocated for to charge separate cleaning fees in addition to their room rates as a way to boost revenue. Why? Because firms like do this. BAD IDEA!

    This is a large reason why hotel asset managers like to see growth in adr(average daily rate) even though a rise in occupancy rate is more prefential when building a brand/franchisor as it brings new customers assuming the Revenue Per available to be constant (revpar)

    This explains something I never realized: landlords who finance their buildings with mortgages instead of owning them outright have more incentive to raise rents.
