Pretty sure the memo says an investigation began immediately and at the conclusion, the officer was fired immediately. I don't think he was fired recently, according to what was written anyway.
The memo wasn't clear as to when Officer Gutierrez was fired. If he was fired last year or before this past week, they should have said that. Their ambiguity is no oversight.
And this says it all. If you see an arrest, film it. Especially if that arrestee is a black man. You could save his life. But clearly, that was not enough to stop Chauvin.

I can’t believe the police officer was still allowed to patrol the streets after that incident. Who knows what else he has done to other innocent victims. This makes me sick!
I'll bet there is more than one defense attorney whose client had to deal with this department that is looking at filing an appeal
