I've lost track of the number of mass shootings I've covered for @NYTNational in the last three years. Eight? Ten? More? I've never seen teenagers respond like this.pic.twitter.com/7uDYZTs5l0

On Friday, April 20th we want students to attend school and then promptly WALK-OUT at 10:00 am. Sit outside your schools and peacefully protest. Make some noise. Voice your thoughts. "We are students, we are victims, we are change."

So proud that we, as a nation, are still capable of raising extraordinary kids...and so relieved, because we need them now to show us the way forward.

Adults for years could do nothing, but the anger of the teenager may change this country. You're right kids, it's simple to fix but they don't care, you're gonna make them care or in a very short time, your gonna make them gone. Proud of these kids.

I'm absolutley proud of these kids, they are showing that they are strong, they are resiliant and will not stop until something is done. I only wish I could stand with them, give them Mom hugs and high fives, they are going to change the world because this will go viral all over.

This is not the time to talk about mass shootings we have every day. Wait until we go a month without any. Then we can start to talk... until a mass shooting happens and we'll have to stop. - @SpeakerRyan probably.
