It was a real honor to report this story, because it allowed me the opportunity to speak with dozens of people in and around Dakar about complex interpersonal issues: marriage, love, sex, a woman’s role in Senegalese society.

I spent a lot of time watching the show before I went out on set with the cast. Some of my favorite scenes involved Racky, the construction supervisor with a strong will who is propositioned by her boss.
