    One thing many do not know abt Columbine is that the word means "dove-like plant" (in Latin) and refers to a flower with 5 petals, often purple. It is also the official Colorado flower, earning that honor after schoolchildren voted it their favorite plant. https://nyti.ms/2vbbSVO
