It is pretty horrible today. Schools are closed due to hazardous air quality. The pic on top is our view on a regular day. I took it sometime last spring. The bottom one, today. That’s not fog. I might feel slightly better if I heard the fog horns. cc:

I live in San Francisco proper, just a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean. I can't see the water like we normally do. Today the schools are closed, I can't walk in the park, and my daughter is depressed and wearing masks. We are experiencing headaches and burning eyes.

We were just there this past June and the air was so clear. I’m sorry you and your family have to deal with this.

I just spent a week in this bad air. It's difficult to even run short quick errands. My eyes burn and my chest hurts. I just drove 7 hours straight to the 405 fwy in Friday night traffic and finally got my first deep breath of fresh air. I will never take oxygen for granted again

Thank you for this vital piece! The Stanford pulmonologist and allergist discusses how “climate change has put increased pressure on human defenses.” But I suppose deniers would warn she needs to “stay in her own lane”...?
