He is a popular local mayor. And many voters I’ve met are frustrated with the Trump administration — and anyone associated with the president, including his opponent, Mia Love.
He told me he had 300 volunteers out on Saturday, knocking on thousands of doors.
Among the voters I met in the last 24 hours was Susan Olson, 69, a retired political science professor and Democrat who said she’d never stumped for anyone. But she was out yesterday, making calls for Ben McAdams.
Well, first, she said, she was Ben McAdams former teacher.
But second, it’s an exciting time to be a Utahn, she said. A chance to make a difference. “It’s a close race and we don’t have close races very often.”
