Why? Utah is very, very red. But it's also very, very Mormon. And the president's crass commentary and hard line on immigration clash with church values.
In any other year, a Mia Love would be almost guaranteed. She is a convert to the church and many in the state see here as a leader in state where conservative women are rarities in the halls of power.
But she has also voted with the president 96 percent of the time. This is a big problem for Utah voters who really don't like Trump.
