I do too, but I think it probably is largely a reporter thing. And I imagine I'll get used to it.
Not sure if this is just a reporter thing, but I still feel disoriented when I look at the NYT homepage and don't see bylines, like I'm lacking certain clues as to what the story is going to be about.

I agree. We have the advantage of actually picturing the people who are behind the words.
