Shabbat Shalom!
As a member of @ZionessMovement , I'm a fan of yours. But you are wrong about @chesaboudin, who lives his Jewish values and is committed to tikkun olam. You quote an ambitious, former assistant SF DA who has intentions of running for DA if the recall succeeds

and who would not stipulate to the defendant's insanity in a murder trial despite 3 psychiatrists' conclusions that he is legally insane and the victim's family requesting a life time commitment to a mental hospital rather than a prison.

Although she calls herself a progressive, no one else does. A progressive DA wouldn't fight the psychiatrists and the family. The defendant has a long history of serious mental illness. The SF Chronicle article you rely upon is incomplete and inaccurate.

Read what one of the defendant's attorneys said: Letters: Heather Knight's column on Chesa Boudin is missing important facts.

The San Francisco's police union (POA) spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to defeat Boudin because he promised to prosecute police officers for excessive force including homicide and he has. The POA undermined him constantly.

out of state gatherers, to garner the number of signatures necessary to qualify for the ballot. Boudin had achieved more in 18 months, even under the pale of the pandemic in which the courts were practically closed, than any other DAs have previously achieved.

He has abolished cash bail that kept the poor, mostly black and latinx people, in jail, pressuring them to plea bargain to get out of jail. He has made victim input, in every case, his highest priority and expanded victim services.

He set up safe houses with airbnb for domestic violence victims during the pandemic. He filed a lawsuit against makers of ghost guns, build your own gun kits, that are responsible for the vast amount of shootings.

He has convened summits on victim survivors, hate violence and mental health crisis. The list goes on. I follow you so I know you have a lot on your plate. I always appreciate your perspective.

May I suggest that if you are truly interested in this subject that you do a wider information gathering than relying upon an opportunistic, former DA.
