Perhaps his strategy in making it a military operation is to legitimize DOD to pay for the wall. I'm concerned about him ramping up a new force, using Erik Prince or other privateers. An expansion of ICE would be a worry, too.

He definitely is trying to make a case that the wall is 'national defense' related, and therefore shd come out of the DOD budget. I share your worries abt a new paramilitary force.

Here's the thing rambler doesn't get, the money allocated to the military is not for HIS discretion at how it is used, just like he can't decide to have the military BUILD the GD freaking wall. He has NO clue how any of this works. NONE. ZERO.
