Say they didn't overbook. 4 employees need to go somewhere -let's toss/drag 4 customers. Ridiculous. BUT offer better incentive=4 volunteers

Hotels overbook a fair amount,but not really same as what airlines do

hotels do it, but the consequences don't seem as dire-they don't drag people out of rooms, you just don't GET a room

airlines overbook aggressively to compensate for historical no show rates, but here they pulled a passngr to seat employees

yes & no - it was employees that needed to get from 1 city to other because of scheduled airline business - not like employee personal trip

It may be their right, but the method? Come on. Who thought dragging a guy off was a good idea? Offer better incentives. Simple.

Why they did it after putting folks on plane is problem. And how could they let bloodied, disoriented victim back on to take needed seat?
