Majority Leader Steny Hoyer just gaveled the House back in and ruled that Pelosi's comments about Trump's tweets violated the rules. "Characterizing an action as racist is not in order." House now voting on Collins motion to strike them from the record
There is much confusion about why Hoyer would have done this. It was the ruling of the parliamentarian, who reviewed the comments & the rules & made a determination. Hoyer was presiding, so it fell to him to read it aloud.
And he was right. It was a rare move but completely appropriate. And it will not stop Trump from being memorialized as a racist forever more
Rules and decorum matter for everyone except the occupant of the White House.

Only there to read this by Pelosi Who was not allowed on the floor- the plan was to read it and then to move a vote to overrule the GOP ruling Hey did they overturned it Pelosi was allowed back on the floor and they were allowed to vote on the “racist” comment from Trump
