I’m not arguing they would have as much sway as the mods who can join Republicans to push thru bills, but the ability to block something is important in its own way. It’s not clear they have that.

They can block to a point. If the govt is about to shut because of the progressives the moderate Dems can work w the GOP to keep funding and govt going. It'll be a diaster to go the obstruction route

You’re making my point. When the Squad voted against the humanitarian aid bill, they were in fact siding with Republicans, who all voted no. If there had been 14 more, Pelosi would not have been able to pass it.
