That’s ok, @united. The last thing we need here on Flight 2282, which has been delayed for ~4 hrs and is now scheduled to arrive past midnight, is any oxygen in the cabin as we wait for the pilot to arrive so we can leave. Air is almost as overrated as promptness
Update: Air is now on! But alas, no pilots. (Win some/lose some.) They've added a bonus stop in Chicago because of course the crew will time out before we reach DC. So I guess this is a redeye now.

Adding to Julie's observations, there's a kind of fatalistic sense on board the plane that we're not taking off anytime soon. A father is walking his baby through the aisles. People are up from their seats, talking on their phones. Oh, and its still smelly in here.
