For sure a shutdown won’t have any impact on him, because Congress continues to get paid! As for people living paycheck to paycheck, especially around the holidays, he should talk to his constituents!

1/3 of all Americans has less than $1k in “ready” savings (more in retirement funds they can’t access instantly). 1/3 of Gov’t employees won’t be able to live through the most expensive month of the year on their savings. Many are paycheck to paycheck.
