And by "backing up," I mean attempting to offer an on-record justification for, not actually providing evidence. It's not clear where this info comes from or whether it is in any way related to migrants seeking eventual entry into the US

That tweet does not say “caravan.” It says there are people in Mexico from those countries traveling TOWARDS the US. Don’t believe anything they say
