Gave up all his leverage. He doesn’t want the blowback to standing in the way or blowback for clearing the way.
Sen Feinstein sounded confused about what happened in Judiciary, like she had expected Flake to make a formal motion to delay the vote & condition his support for Kavanaugh on it. He could have done that, but did not. Flake move was big, but he gave up some of his leverage.

It was 100 years last month since the 19th amendment went to Congress thus powering forward the start of the long continuous battle towards equality. Today, the USA Senate has callously managed to set political discourse and equality back for years to come.
