Christine Blasey Ford, a research psychiatrist, is using very clinical language to describe her assault. Speaks of "sequelae" of the attack, how norepinephrine & epinephrine seared it in her memory, how "uproarious laughter" of Kavanaugh & Judge is "indelible in the hippocampus"

Correction: she is a research PSYCHOLOGIST. Point is, she knows from brain function and memory.

If this were a trial, she would be a devastating witness against him...sadly, her testimony will make no difference to the vote....

If Kavanaugh is guilty of involvement in the attack, then he is also guilty of lying. If Kavanaugh was not involved in the attack, then his character is stained by the compelling evidence of Dr Ford. This is no process to choose a Supreme Court judge.

I agree 100% and for this reason, the inquiry into these issues CANNOT end with two witnesses only. The vote cannot proceed tomorrow.

As a fellow professor (my training is in developmental psych) I am so relieved about this. All of the likelihood of memory errors point far more to him than her. So long as she connected him with the attack right away, which she did.

The problem with Dr Ford's extremely impressive testimony is: saying something is "indelible in the hippocampus," for example, states a fact. In its present agonies, the Republik party still eschews all facts, and breaking them into microscopic pieces does not help. (R's ignore.)
